Goa, April 26 -- Senior officials of the Central Armed Police Forces held a high-level review meeting on Sunday to assess and strengthen security arrangements ahead of the second and final phase of the West Bengal assembly elections scheduled for Wednesday. The meeting focused on ensuring a peaceful and transparent polling process across sensitive constituencies.
The Central Reserve Police Force, acting as the nodal agency for central forces in the state, coordinated the discussions. Over 2.5 lakh personnel drawn from the CRPF, Border Security Force, Central Industrial Security Force, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and Sashastra Seema Bal have been deployed to maintain law and order during the elections.
