Goa, June 19 -- Calangute Police have registered a case of criminal breach of trust against a man accused of allegedly taking electronic devices worth Rs.21.6 lakh from a shop and failing to either make payment or return the goods.

According to police, the complaint was lodged by a resident of Ponda, who stated that on January 10, the accused visited his shop in Calangute and selected 21 second-hand electronic devices, including iPhones, Samsung mobile phones and an iPad.

Police said the accused allegedly assured the shop staff that the payment would be made in cash within two days and handed over two bank cheques as security for the transaction.
