Goa, Sept. 6 -- A major tragedy unfolded in South Delhi's Satya Niketan on Sunday after a 40-50 year old, five-story building collapsed, leaving one person dead and requiring an intensive rescue operation. The building, which was being used as student accommodation, collapsed while repair work was actively underway in its basement.

Following the news of the tragedy, Union Home Minister Amit Shah cancelled his scheduled public events in Goa to monitor the situation.
