Goa, July 9 -- State-owned Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new satellite phone designed for use in remote and challenging environments where conventional mobile networks are unavailable. The company announced the launch on social media platform X, highlighting the device as a reliable communication solution for defence personnel, maritime operations, disaster response teams, mining activities and adventure travel.

According to BSNL, the satellite phone ensures connectivity even in areas beyond the reach of cellular towers. Key features include satellite connectivity, voice calling from remote locations, emergency support and long battery life. The device is priced at Rs.1,34,166, inclusive of all applicable taxes.
