Goa, Aug. 3 -- In a bid to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences, students from Mahila Nutan School, Margao visited Benaulim Beach to witness traditional fishing practices firsthand. The educational field trip aimed to raise awareness about Goa's coastal heritage and the importance of sustainable fishing methods.
During the visit, local fisherman Pele Fernandes interacted with the students and offered a live demonstration of traditional fishing techniques still practiced along Goa's coastline.
He explained the processes involved in net fishing, the types of gear used, and the teamwork required to make each catch successful.
