BRICS Summit 2026: Delhi Schools, Government Offices Closed as Security and Traffic Restrictions Tighten
New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- The national capital is set to witness heightened security measures and traffic restrictions as the 18th BRICS Leaders' Summit is scheduled to be held at Bharat Mandapam on September 12 and 13.
Heads of state, foreign delegations and senior dignitaries are expected to travel across Delhi during the two-day summit, prompting authorities to put special security and traffic arrangements in place. The measures are likely to affect movement and public services in several parts of the city.
Residents have been advised to take note of the changes coming into effect from September 11 to 13.
