Goa, May 19 -- Dedicated boat parking facilities are being planned along the Mandovi River to support vessel operations and maintenance under the proposed Goa water metro project.

According to project proposals, the facilities are expected to be developed at Betim, Chorao, and Old Goa to ensure efficient fleet management and the smooth functioning of the upcoming water metro services.

Officials stated that the proposed infrastructure will play a crucial role in vessel parking, maintenance operations, and overall coordination of the water transport system as Goa moves ahead with plans to strengthen water-based public transport connectivity.
