Goa, Sept. 23 -- The BJP has officially filed its nomination for the Goa Assembly Speaker post, putting forward Sanvordem MLA Dr. Ganesh Gaonkar as its candidate.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant expressed confidence in the party's prospects, stating, "We are confident that we will win the Speaker election."

The move sets the stage for the upcoming Assembly proceedings, with party leaders highlighting Dr. Gaonkar's experience and leadership as key factors in the expected victory.
