Goa, Aug. 17 -- The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced its new team of national office-bearers, bringing several experienced leaders into key organisational positions. The reshuffle includes former chief ministers, former Union ministers and senior party functionaries from different states.

Among the prominent appointments, former Union minister Smriti Irani has been named a national general secretary with organisational responsibility for Uttar Pradesh, while former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia has been appointed national vice president for Rajasthan.
