Goa, Sept. 6 -- A 50-year-old man from Bihar has been arrested in Noida for allegedly sending bomb threats to the official number of the Mumbai Traffic Police, officials said on Saturday (September 6).

The accused, identified as Ashwin Kumar Supra, was taken into custody after the chilling messages triggered panic across Mumbai. Police have seized his mobile phone and SIM card, and he is being brought to Mumbai for further questioning.

The threat message, sent on Friday, claimed that 34 "human bombs" had been planted across Mumbai and that 14 Pakistani terrorists had entered India. It also warned of a massive explosion using 400 kg of RDX, signed under the name of a group calling itself Lashkar-e-Jihadi.
