Goa, July 30 -- Bicholim Sub-District Hospital has become the first and only government hospital in Goa to offer specialised varicose vein surgeries, marking a major step forward in expanding advanced healthcare services in the public sector.

Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant inaugurated the new surgical service, highlighting the government's efforts to improve access to specialised medical treatment for patients across the state.

The introduction of varicose vein surgeries at the Bicholim facility is expected to benefit patients by providing advanced treatment within the government healthcare system, reducing the need for referrals to private hospitals.
