Goa, Jan. 3 -- A senior woman from Bicholim has been left struggling to protect her home and cattle after the Bicholim Municipal Council issued a demolition notice following a complaint from the local communidade. The complaint claims the land belongs to the Bordem communidade, while the woman maintains that her family has lived on the property for generations. She said cattle rearing has been her family's only source of livelihood. The notice has sparked concern among locals, who fear the elderly woman will be rendered homeless.
