Goa, Oct. 7 -- A serious hit-and-run accident on October 2, 2025, left a 61-year-old man critically injured, police reported. The incident occurred around 7:15 a.m. opposite Sanket Store, near Bypass Dodamarg Road, Shivolkarwada, Mulgao.

Mr. Baban Janu Shingadi, a resident of Shivolkarwada, was seated on his parked scooter when a blue Yamaha Fascino, reportedly speeding from the Assonora road side, struck him. The rider fled the scene immediately, failing to assist the injured. Authorities suspect the rider may have been under the influence of alcohol.
