Goa, June 30 -- The Bhoma Village Panchayat has decided not to grant a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the proposed Banastarim Bridge and the planned four-lane bypass highway, citing ambiguity in the proposal submitted by the concerned department.

According to the panchayat, the proposal seeks approval for both the Banastarim Bridge and the four-lane bypass project under a single application, making it unclear for the local body to assess and consider each project independently.

Panchayat members observed that the combined proposal lacked clarity and felt that separate submissions for the two infrastructure projects would enable a more transparent and informed decision-making process.
