Goa, July 11 -- A viral video allegedly showing the assault of an elderly man in Betalbatim has led to police action, with Colva Police registering a case, arresting the victim's son and booking his daughter-in-law in connection with the incident.

The complaint was lodged at the Colva Police Station by Crisostomo Mariano Soares of Cuncolim, who stated that he received the video via WhatsApp on July 9. According to the complaint, the footage allegedly shows an elderly man being repeatedly assaulted, verbally abused and threatened inside a house by a man and a woman.
