Goa, April 16 -- Rajasthan Royals manager Romi Bhinder is likely to face only a warning or minor fine after being found using a mobile phone in the dugout during an IPL 2026 match. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is expected to take a lenient stance, considering his medical condition and lack of malicious intent.
The incident occurred during the second innings of the Rajasthan Royals vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru clash on April 10, when Bhinder was seen using a mobile phone in the players' dugout. Under IPL's Players and Match Officials Area (PMOA) protocol, team managers are allowed to use phones in the dressing room but not in the dugout.
