Goa, Aug. 9 -- The Gram Sabha of the Avedem-Cottombi-Chaifi Village Panchayat has passed a resolution opposing the proposed implementation of Section 39A of the TCP Act within the Avedem Village Panchayat jurisdiction.

The resolution was proposed by Vishal Dessai and seconded by Coney Menezes during the Gram Sabha meeting. Members raised concerns over the potential impact of Section 39A on land, the environment, local communities and the future development of the village.
