Goa, May 14 -- A 17-year-old Class XII Science student from Nessai in Sao Jose de Areal allegedly died by suicide on Tuesday night, hours after the abrupt can cellation of the NEET-UG 2026 examination. During pre liminary inves tigation, police recovered a su icide note alleg edly written by the teenager. In it, he reported ly spoke about long-stand ing academic stress, saying he had been struggling for the past two years to cope with studies. He also mentioned diffi culty balancing schoolwork with hockey, a sport he pursued seriously, and ex pressed that he was unable to handle the pressure of examinations and compet itive expectations.
