Goa, Sept. 17 -- The Anjuna Police have registered an FIR against an unknown accused for allegedly cheating an Assagao resident of Rs.81,507 under the pretext of offering an online part-time job.
According to the complaint, the victim was lured with promises of easy earnings through a fraudulent job scheme. The individual was assigned online tasks that required purchasing fake items via a fraudulent website, leading to a financial loss of over Rs.81,000.
Police have launched an investigation to trace the culprit behind the cyber fraud.
