India, Feb. 5 -- Residents of Anjuna Caisua Gramasthan have issued a two-day ultimatum to an individual who allegedly made hurtful statements about the local deity during a podcast, demanding a public apology in person.

Prominent local leader Gajanand Tilve said the villagers would wait for the individual to personally apologise to both the residents and the holy deity, despite the man having already released an apology video on social media.

Tilve stated that the video apology was not sufficient and stressed that matters involving faith and religious sentiments must be handled with utmost sensitivity.

He also confirmed that a formal complaint was filed on Tuesday seeking the individual's arrest in connection with the remarks.
