Goa, May 9 -- The Animal Care Organization, an initiative of the Anil Agarwal Foundation, has launched a state-of-the-art shelter house for stray dogs at Sankhali-Virdi with the aim of improving animal welfare and healthcare in the region.

Under the project, stray dogs injured in road accidents or suffering from various illnesses will receive regular medical treatment, care, and shelter. The initiative has been established in collaboration with the Anil Agarwal Foundation and Vedanta Limited.

Officials said the primary objective of the project is to ensure the safety and well-being of stray dogs in the Sankhali area while also helping to control diseases such as rabies through timely medical intervention and proper care.
