Goa, Oct. 11 -- Police detained Amreen Shaikh and several youths at Azad Maidan after they gathered for a demonstration targeting Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Organized by Shaikh alongside CJP, the protest lacked authorization after the Deputy Collector denied permission based on a police report. Despite the rejection, activists arrived at the venue displaying banners. Heavy police forces deployed to the area intervened swiftly, taking the demonstrators into custody to halt the unauthorized rally.
