Goa, Aug. 13 -- The Goa Congress leader said the party must remain strong and united to mount a serious challenge in the 2027 Assembly elections.

Goa Congress leader Amit Patkar said he was not aware of reports that All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge was scheduled to visit the state.

Responding to a question about Kharge's reported visit, Patkar said he had no information regarding the programme. He also stressed the need for greater unity and organisational strength within the party ahead of the 2027 Goa Assembly elections.

"Congress has to be strong and united if we want to win the 2027 elections," Patkar said.
