Goa, July 17 -- With paddy fields drying up due to an extended dry spell, over 40 traditional farmers from Quitla in Aldona held a prayer procession on Thursday, seeking timely rainfall and divine blessings for a successful farming season.

The procession commenced at the Dauza Vaddo Chapel and made its way to the Holy Cross at Postaar, where the farmers gathered to pray for adequate rainfall and the protection of their crops. The participants offered special prayers, sang hymns, and recited the Novena to St. Anthony, asking for favourable weather conditions and a bountiful harvest.
