After High Court Rap, Traffic SP Steps Up Enforcement on Panaji Casino Stretch
Goa, Oct. 15 -- A day after the Bombay High Court in Goa flagged traffic congestion, haphazard parking and pedestrian safety concerns along Panaji's casino stretch, the Traffic SP was seen overseeing enforcement measures on the ground. The court had highlighted problems along DB Bandodkar Marg and MG Road, including roadside parking, casino staff movement and the need for barricades, designated crossings and stronger evening policing. Following the court's observations, Goa Traffic Police said they were intensifying checks to curb double parking, unauthorised parking and other traffic violations while improving traffic management near casinos and ferry points.
