Goa, Oct. 2 -- FC Goa suffered a 2-0 defeat against Tajikistan's FC Istiklol in their second AFC Champions League 2025-26 Group D clash at Central Stadium, Hisor, on Wednesday. Rustam Soirov and Reza Dehghani scored second-half goals to give Istiklol their first win after a 5-0 loss to Al Nassr. FC Goa, still winless after losing their opener to Al Zawraa SC, created few chances, with keeper Hrithik Tiwari making crucial saves. Despite Borja Herrera and Pol Moreno threatening, Goa could not find the net, while Istiklol's Soirov, Safarov, and Rahimov tested the defence in the opening minutes.
