Goa, May 14 -- The Central Board of Direct Taxes, with the sanction of the President of India, has appointed Advocate Swati Kamat Wagh as the Special Public Prosecutor for the Income Tax Department in Goa.

According to the official order, Advocate Wagh will represent the Income Tax Department before the Economic Offences Court, Sessions Court and subordinate courts across Goa.

Her appointment authorises her to conduct prosecution matters and represent the department in cases related to economic and taxation offences within the state.
