India, March 6 -- Advocate Sadanand Vaigankar was allegedly assaulted by a mob while a panchanama was being conducted at the site of an alleged illegal construction at Dhargal near Redkar Hospital.

According to reports, the incident occurred in the presence of the local Sarpanch, the Block Development Officer (BDO), and police personnel who were present at the location during the inspection.

Vaigankar was representing complainant Nilesh Patekar, who had raised objections and filed a complaint regarding the alleged illegal construction at the site.
