Goa, July 27 -- The South Goa administration has directed the Dhyan Foundation to relocate all cattle from its gaushala at Deao, Quepem, within 12 hours, citing concerns over public safety, public health and animal welfare, even as the alleged demolition of eight cattle sheds at the facility continues to be investigated by the police.

The order, issued by Quepen deputy collector and sub divisional magistrate (SDM) Vimod Dalal under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), directs the Foundation to shift the cattle to recognised gaushalas or suitable animal shelters after obtaining certification from the Quepem Veterinary Officer confirming that the animals are fit for transportation.
