Goa, Oct. 9 -- The Save Old Goa Action Committee (SOGAC) on Wednesday appealed to the concerned authorities to take immediate cognisance of ongoing violations and stop illegal work by ensuring strict enforcement of heritage protection laws to preserve the sanctity of Old Goa's World Heritage Site and restore it to its original state.

The committee also demanded strict action and instructions to the erring party to return the stolen archaeological material that was carted away by trucks during excavation.
