Goa, Oct. 7 -- Panjim, Goa - Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Valmiki Naik on Monday clarified that while his party never opposed Congress and even assisted them in winning the South Goa MP seat, forming an alliance with Congress is not in the public's interest.
Naik pointed to Congress's past actions, noting that the party had supported the BJP in 1999 and, according to Rahul Gandhi's own admission in Gujarat, continues to offer backing to the party. He stressed that AAP aims to maintain a political stance that prioritizes the interests of the people over opportunistic alliances.
