8 Feared Trapped After Building Collapse in Delhi's Rohini Amid Heavy Rain
Goa, July 8 -- Heavy rain lashed Delhi-NCR on Wednesday, triggering widespread disruption and the collapse of an under-construction building in Rohini, where at least eight people are feared trapped. Rescue teams from the Delhi Fire Services rushed to the site and have so far pulled two people from the debris, while efforts continue to locate those still believed to be inside.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Delhi, forecasting intermittent spells of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and isolated heavy showers. Authorities have advised residents to remain cautious as more rainfall is expected.
