Goa, July 31 -- The 61-day annual fishing ban comes to an end on Thursday, with trawler owners across Goa making final preparations to resume fishing operations from Friday, marking the start of the new fishing season.

Fishing vessels have been undergoing maintenance and stocking up on essential supplies over the past few weeks to ensure they are ready to set sail as soon as the ban is lifted. Trawler operators are optimistic about a productive season and are hoping for a good catch after the monsoon break.
