Goa, May 24 -- Polling for the village panchayat by-election in Sancordem Ward No. VII witnessed a voter turnout of 53.11% between 8 am and 2 pm on Tuesday. Election officials stated that voting remained peaceful throughout the day, with adequate arrangements made at the polling station to ensure smooth conduct of the process. Authorities continuously monitored the polling activity and maintained security at the venue. Residents turned up steadily to cast their votes in the by-election, while officials expressed satisfaction over the orderly manner in which polling was conducted. Voting continued till the scheduled closing time.
