50 BANGLADESHI NATIONALS ESCORTED FROM SALEM CAMP FOR DEPORTATION
Goa, July 4 -- Fifty Bangladeshi nationals detained at a special camp in Tamil Nadu have been sent to West Bengal as authorities initiated the next stage of their deportation to Bangladesh. The transfer is taking place under strict security, with police escorting the group until they are handed over to the Border Security Force.
Police officials said the detainees include 44 men and six women who had been lodged at the special detention camp inside the Attur taluk office complex in Salem district. Following the completion of legal formalities and the issuance of deportation orders, they were moved from the camp to Tiruchirappalli on July 3 in three police vans.
