Goa, July 22 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant recently addressed the media, reaffirming the state government's commitment to the welfare of freedom fighters' families. He revealed that 398 children of freedom fighters have already been employed in government jobs under various administrations, and assured that the remaining 25 will be recruited by December 2025, with relaxed eligibility norms if necessary.

Speaking about the progress of the employment scheme for children of freedom fighters, Sawant said, "We have consistently honored our freedom fighters by extending government job opportunities to their children. Only 25 are left to be absorbed, and we are committed to completing the process before the end of next year."
