Goa, May 29 -- A 32-year-old man, identified as Sanket Dabholkar, lost his life after a rent-a-car Mahindra Thar allegedly driven under the influence of alcohol collided head-on with his two-wheeler in Siolim.

The accident reportedly occurred when the Thar crashed into Dabholkar's scooter, causing severe injuries. He was rushed for medical treatment but succumbed to his injuries.

Police suspect that the driver of the rent-a-car vehicle was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. An investigation has been launched, and further legal action is expected based on the findings of the probe.
