Goa, July 26 -- A 30-year-old cleaner from Chhattisgarh lost his life in a tragic electrocution incident near Billa Cross in Verna late on Saturday night after a live overhead electric wire snapped and fell on a mini tempo. The victim, identified as Ankit, was travelling with the driver when the vehicle came into contact with the fallen power line.

Both occupants received an electric shock and immediately jumped out of the vehicle. While the driver managed to escape safely, Ankit accidentally came into contact with the live wire, sustaining severe burn injuries. He died on the spot before help could reach him.
