Curchorem, Sept. 19 -- A 21-year-old youth from Curchorem died at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, on September 18 while undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in a reported train-hit incident.

According to Vasco Railway Police, the youth was initially admitted to South Goa District Hospital in Margao on September 11 after allegedly being struck by a train while on the railway track at Curchorem.

He was subsequently referred to GMC Bambolim for further treatment. Police received information about his death at around 8.30 am on September 18.

An inquest was conducted, following which the body was sent for post-mortem examination. It was later handed over to the family.
