Goa, Aug. 8 -- The much-awaited Porvorim six-lane elevated corridor is nearing completion, with load testing and finishing work currently underway, PWD Minister Digambar Kamat said.

Speaking about the project, Kamat said the government remains committed to opening the flyover before August 24, reiterating that the target has been communicated to the agencies executing the work.

"The working has been completed. Now the load testing is going on. Finishing touches are going on," Kamat said.

He also sought to reassure motorists and residents concerned about the project's opening timeline, saying there was no need to panic.
