Goa, Oct. 2 -- Speaking at EIA University in Colombia, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi warned that India's democratic system is under unprecedented attack. Targeting the BJP government, he said India's diversity of languages, religions, and traditions requires a democratic system to thrive. "India is a conversation among its people. The biggest risk today is the attack on democracy," Gandhi asserted.
Addressing engineering students, he also highlighted global power transitions, noting China's centralised model contrasts with India's decentralised democratic system. He emphasised India must balance production and democracy to compete with China and sustain its economic growth.
