Goa, Oct. 11 -- YouTuber Dhruv Rathee on Sunday claimed that he was "kidnapped" and not arrested or detained, hours after being released by Gurugram Police. Rathee was apprehended from his residence at Kendriya Vihar Society in Sector 56, Gurugram, at around 9.30 am on Saturday, ahead of the Cockroach Janta Party's (CJP) planned protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar in Delhi.

"I was not arrested or detained, I was KIDNAPPED," Rathee wrote in the caption of an Instagram post accompanying his video statement.
