India, Sept. 28 -- The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has launched a statewide campaign in Goa, branding it "Goa Doesn't Want BJP's Gundaraj", targeting rising crime, land transfers, and lawlessness under the ruling BJP. Citing Goa Police records, the party highlighted that serious crimes rose 38% in six years, with crimes against women surging over 40%, alongside more than 120 murders and 350 assaults in the past year.
AAP also criticized the government for transferring over 3,200 acres of public land to private developers without community consent, undermining Goa's land rights and cultural identity. Infrastructure issues, including poor roads and flooding, are also part of the campaign's focus.
