'Education System Crumbling in Goa': Vijay Sardesai Slams Government Over Teacher Shortage
PANAJI, Sept. 8 -- Goa Forward Party president and Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardesai has criticised the state government over the condition of Goa's education system, saying students being forced to take to the streets to demand teachers was a matter of shame for the state.
Sardesai said the government was moving ahead with a proposed university bill while the basic education system was struggling with issues such as teacher shortages.
"Students have come on the streets for teachers. This is the biggest shame for Goa," Sardesai said.
He also accused the BJP-led government of bringing politics into the education system, describing the alleged interference as detrimental to the state.
