India, June 15 -- Long term statistical records from the World Bank provide a clear picture of how death rates in Chile have evolved from 1960 through 2023.

Forty Years of Decline In 1960, the country recorded a high mortality rate of 10.968 per 1,000 persons. The following decades showed consistent improvement as the rate dipped below double digits by 1965. Notable benchmarks during this period include: * 8.415 deaths per 1,000 in 1970 * 6.005 deaths per 1,000 in 1980 * 5.247 deaths per 1,000 in 1990 Chile eventually reached its historic minimum of 4.969 in 2001.
