Dehradun, Sept. 24 -- While there is need to act against perpetrators and enablers when it comes to crimes against women, there has to be general consensus on establishing a structured safety net in India. There should be a line between playing politics and working together for the general good. It needs to be understood that women's safety in India is a multi-dimensional challenge that requires addressing deep-seated cultural, legal, and structural issues. While India has made major economic and technological strides, ensuring a secure environment for women remains a critical priority for true gender equality and national development.
