Dehradun, 27 Mar: The Government of Uttarakhand has announced that 'Earth Hour' will be observed tomorrow (i.e. on 28 March 2026) from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. During this period, residents across the State have been urged by the government to switch off all non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour.

This initiative aims to promote the conservation of natural resources, maintain ecological balance, and raise awareness about ensuring a sustainable future for coming generations. The campaign is being organised in response to a communication from WWF India, New Delhi.
