Dehradun, 22 Aug: The government has asserted that the Char Dham Yatra has continued unhindered this year despite the challenges of the monsoon, setting new records in pilgrim turnout. According to the officials, within 125 days of the current season, the number of devotees visiting the four shrines has crossed 48 lakh, which is 5.22 lakh more than the same period last year. Significantly, Yamunotri Dham has registered a record footfall, with pilgrim numbers reaching 6.68 lakh for the first time. In 2025, the figure stood at 6.44 lakh, while in earlier years the count had remained significantly lower.
