Dehradun, 14 Jan: BJP leader Ravindra Jugran today submitted a letter to the Vice-Chancellor of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University, requesting exemption of the university from the CUET entrance examination, which has been conducted at the all-India level for the past three years.

In his letter, Ravindra Jugran stated that due to the difficult geographical conditions of the hill region and inadequate publicity of the entrance examination, the experience of the last three years shows that a large number of seats in almost all affiliated colleges of Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal Central University remain vacant after the CUET-based admission process.
