Mussoorie, 29 Jun: Manoj Tamta, a folk artist from Mussoorie known for his significant contributions to the preservation and promotion of Uttarakhand's folk culture, the Garhwali language, and traditional music, was honoured today by the cultural organisation, 'Uftara'. He received this honour in recognition of his sustained efforts to pass on Uttarakhand's folk culture to the younger generation and to propagate the Garhwali language.

At the grand ceremony, the state's Culture Minister Satpal Maharaj, Minister of State Madhu Bhatt, Director General, Information, Banshidhar Tiwari, and Joint Director of the Information Department KS Chauhan honoured Manoj Tamta.
